Sunday - Men's A West Coast Championship, Women’s Masters, Men's A, Men’s B, Men’s C, Men’s and Women lightweight and Men’s Novice

Men's and Women's West Coast Amateur Championships - If you are interested in being considered for the Men's or Women's West Coast Championships, please do the following...

  1. Contact athletic director Sean Smith at [email protected] to indicate interest. Please include your top marks in all 8 height and distance events, and the largest caber you have turned during the 2024 season and up until June 15, 2025. Please also indicate your best finishing position...first, second, third place, etc., and the name of that competition.

  2. Have competed in an A class competition West of the Mississippi, between January 1, 2024 and June 15, 2025

  3. We will be taking the rankings for that period from the heavy athlete data base to find the top athletes in each class. We will reach out to all athletes to find the top 10 in each class. If any of the top 10 pass on the offer to compete at this event, we will work our way down the list until we fill out the roster.

  4. If you have competed at Men's or Women's World Championships in any of the past 3 years, you will not able to compete in this class. This means 2022, 2023 or 2024. No current Pro men will be accepted.

Flagstaff is the coolest place in Arizona in July. Close to the grand canyon (1:30 mins drive) and also close to beautiful Sedona, AZ (1:17 mins drive). This event promises to be a lot of fun for both you and your family.

Athletics will be run by the SAAA and be subject to the rules and regulations listed on our website saaa-national.org

If you are a current SAAA member, or purchase an SAAA membership at the event, we will credit you $10.00 in person. We are working on adding this functionality to Heavy Athlete, but for now, please bare with us as we work together with Heavy Athlete to make this happen in the future for all of our paid current members.

We look forward to this new event and seeing all of our amazing athletes come out for two days of competition, fun and laughs with friends. See you all very soon!
